My Dad once said to me that a change is as good as a break.
At the time I gave him a rather scathing look because we were deep in the woods working on a Fire-Road and I'd spent almost a week there swinging a Chain-Saw, cutting down trees and wishing I was hanging out with my friends. Heck, it was suppose to be my summer vacation! Yet here I was working my tush off!
Last week I caught myself repeating my fathers words to my daughter. She was helping me lug box after box of books and sundry junk out of a store room and into our new apartment. She wanted to spend her day playing on the Wii. (A close friend had gifted her with two different "Kirby" games and here I was wasting her valuable playing time!) I guess being a parent means you don't have to be original or something!

Everything goes in circles.
For those of you wondering where Tanis (Cinnoman) and I have dissappeared to over the past month or so, we've been very busy packing and moving crap! It's been a very long process but finally Cinnoman and I have gotten ourselves moved and into a new apartment. Now comes all the fun of unpacking and putting away.
In the process we're already trying to simplify our lives by tossing out as much chaff and flotsam as we can. It's stunning how much a person can cram in to their reality. Yet we never think about the fact that all we're doing is giving dust a nice place to sit.
